Did you know that there is a metro museum in Moscow? The museum is in the underground station "Sportivnaya" on the 2nd floor. Entrance to the museum is free of charge. The museum is very small and, in my opinion, requires a major overhaul. But there are three unique exhibits:
1 - the cabin of the famous soviet wagon of type UZH, with the simulator. So your kids (and you yourself) will be very glad to touch a control panel.
2 - the room with Soviet control panels.
3 - the layout of the escalator which kind workers turn on for the young visitors. The layout shows also the drive mechanism which makes children surprised when they realize what size it is in reality.
For families with children, on cold frosty days and just for fun - I do recommend! :)
